The
captioned chemical is a new development used in place of conventional
oil based emulsion forming coolant.
This coolant can be used for any type of metal and their alloys,
especially for cast iron grinding.
This is a mixture of Synthetic Corrosion inhibitors with an excellent
cooling effect of high stability at elevated temperatures thereby
making them stable at all machining conditions.
This coolant has a good sequestering action thereby enabling users
to use it in any water available at their source (upto 200 ppm
hardness).
"Conventional cutting oils have limitations as far as applications
are concerned. The oils are very good lubricant but cannot give
sufficient cooling effect. Hence the temperature of coolant increases
& thereby affects the tool life. Tool become blunt. Similarly
in grinding the dressing of the grinding wheel is also affected
because of poor heat transfer.
In synthetic coolant this basic need of cooling has been given
Prime Importance. We have added chemicals which will increase
the cooling effect along with good lubrication.
Synthetic coolants contain very good corrosion inhibitors hence
give better corrosion prevention.
We have added special fungicides which improve the sumplife of
the coolant hence can be used for a prolonged period as compared
to conventional cutting oils thereby makinh the cost effective
even though the basic price may be high.
Synthetic coolants contain additives which are oil repellant in
nature.
Hence the tramp oil does not get mixed with the coolant &
properties of the coolant does not vary.
Utmost care is to be taken in maintaining the concentration of
synthetic coolant to get best results out of it.
RECOMMENDED CONCENTRATIONS TO BE USED ON DIFFERENT MACHINES -
1) On CNC Machines - 5%
2) On Lathe and other machines - 2.5% to 3.5%
3) On Grinding Machine - 2%
